No oil in Drift River terminal

The oil terminal at the base of Mount Redoubt has no oil in it, according to Margaret Cooper, a Chevron spokeswoman. In an email, Cooper said that Cook Inlet Pipe Line Co. removed all the crude oil from the terminal after the Mount Redoubt eruptions earlier this year. She added that no additional crude has been placed at the terminal since that time, and that the company will continue to monitor seismic activity at Mount Redoubt and take appropriate actions as warranted.
