No public review of Palin emails in Anchorage, says state

Alaska Dispatch

According to the Anchorage Daily News, political activist Andree McLeod requested that the state of Alaska make a free-to-view copy available in its Anchorage offices of the some 24,000 pages of printed Palin-administration emails about to be released. Since the state has refused to make the documents available in electronic form, McLeod made the request in an attempt to bypass more than $1,000 in printing and shipping fees required to obtain hard copies. Gov. Parnell's administrative director denied the request and told McLeod that if she wants to review the documents for free, she must travel to Juneau. McLeod wrote back.
