Police seek clues about woman gone missing in Anchorage

The Anchorage Police Department on Thursday put out a call for the public's help in locating a missing woman.

Candise Roark, 25, was dropped off at Providence Hospital in Anchorage for treatment at 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2. She never checked in, and family and friends have not heard from her since.

Roark is a Native woman, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing blue jeans and a grey sweatshirt with a large Adidas logo in the middle front when she was last seen. She was carrying a small backpack with identification, a cell phone, and a change of clothes.

Anyone with information as to her whereabouts are asked to call Anchorage Police at 786-8900.
