Relive epic 2009 Lake Hood plane crash in Anchorage, Alaska (+VIDEO)

While researching a recent plane crash involving a de Havilland Beaver, we happened upon a video of an epic plane crash that occurred back in 2009 on Lake Hood in Anchorage.

Two adults, 2 children and 2 animals were on board the flight, but incredibly, nobody was hurt in the crash. The person taking the video, who was later identified as Dustin Koehler in an interview with FoxNews, was working on a project for his grandfather at the time.

When FoxNews asked why he didn't move, he replied "well....I get that question a lot."

Lake Hood is the most heavily-used seaplane base in the world, with over 1,000 planes using the facility year-round.
