In a quick but weighty post, The Atlantic's Joshua Green wants everyone to stop and think about the results of the latest NBC/Wall Street Journal poll: "Palin's poll numbers are nearly as horrible as George W. Bush's -- but only one of them launched two wars and destroyed the economy." The worst part about the situation, as Green sees it, is that if Bush were allowed to run for a third presidential term and did so, the former president "would be greeted with gales of laughter" upon the announcment, yet talk of a 2012 Palin run is taken seriously.
