Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who lost a Republican bid for the White House in 2008 alongside running mate John McCain, still has political muscle, at least in the way of cash to spend. Her political action committee, SarahPAC, closed out 2012 with nearly $1.2 million in the bank, according to the Associated Press.

It's a chunk of change that will certainly help her continue her fight for what she calls “American Exceptionalism,” and for “limited constitutional government.” Although she has parted ways as a commentator for Fox News – a $1 million a year gig that paid her an average of nearly $16 per uttered word, according to the Atlantic Wire – Palin has pledged to keep alive her vigil against biased media, and to keep advocating for liberty, true hope and freedom.

“I was raised to never retreat and to pick battles wisely, and all in due season. When it comes to defending our republic, we haven’t begun to fight! But we delight in those who underestimate us,” Palin said this weekend in an interview with Breitbart News.

The former Alaska politician still has nearly 3.5 million followers on Facebook. where she regularly disseminates political and social missives.
