Second Amendment backlash after Tucson?

Guns are everywhere in Alaska. They are tools used alike by commoners and the ruling elite. The behavior of well-intended gun control advocates in the Lower 48 itself shapes Alaskans' view on firearms and leaves many in the 49th state suspicious and troubled. This disparity only becomes worse when some in the gun-control crowd attempt to distort a national tragedy with speculation about "how it could have been worse" because a pistol-packing citizen rushed to the scene and became a hero. Joe Zamudio, who was armed nearby, rushed to aid Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and others, and was able to hold fire despite the bloody havoc about him.
