Sitka herring opening: 'Infinite Grace' nearly capsizes

Just because herring are little and pickle well doesn't mean fishing for them is any less perilous than any other species. The crew of the seiner Infinite Grace found that out dramatically on April 1 during Sitka's annual herring opener. The Grace tries to haul in a big set, and nearly capsizes. Luckily, with help from the Theresa Marie, of Petersburg, and other nearby boats, the Grace rights itself and everyone escapes injury, but the video below contains a series of tense moments for sure.
