State releases 'Alaska Energy Pathway' report

According to KUAC (via APRN), at the rural energy conference going on in Fairbanks this week, state officials have compiled a database of alternative energy plans that rural communities can employ that will lower energy costs and create more sustainable power supplies. The report, called the "Alaska Energy Pathway," details the economic costs and benefits of several energy plans over the next 15 years, and connects them to 227 different communities. The report is still a work in progress, and is out for public comment. Listen to much more, here. And find a copy of the Pathway report at the Alaska Energy Authority, here.
