Study finds oil infrastructure impacts birds

According to The New York Times, a joint wildlife study conducted by Fish and Wildlife Service, two environmental groups and two oil companies has determined that oil infrastructure built on Alaska's North Slope has contributed to "subsidized predators" and poses risks to nesting songbirds. The study found that the risk to nesting birds increases as nests' proximity to oil infrastructure does. Read the news report here.
