TLC cancels 'Hook, Line & Sisters' fishing reality show

Craig MedredAlaska Dispatch

According to the blog of Sierra Anderson, the TLC network has "pulled the plug" on the Alaska reality show she and her family star in. Basically, she writes, the decision came down to low viewership.

The show, "Hook Line & Sisters," premiered Dec. 29, 2011, and seven episodes were ordered. The finale had been set for Feb. 2, 2012.

Anderson's blog entry expressed thanks and suggested that the show might be picked up elsewhere:

Despite the sour news I’ve managed to keep my hopes up. When push comes to shove, I’m not one to easily back down. It’s been a long and often bumpy road just to get to this point, so giving up is not an option. I am very thankful to have at least been allowed the opportunity to give it a try.

Just because it didn’t work out this time around, doesn’t mean it won't work elsewhere. There is potential opportunity for it to be aired elsewhere on TV but time will tell before things come to fruition.
