Tony Nicklinson may not be able to move, but he can still tweet.
Nicklinson, an England-based man who is fully paralyzed, sent his first ever tweet on Wednesday using specialized eye movement technology, the Guardian reported.
Since a debilitating stroke during a business trip in Greece in 2005 interrupted his life, Nicklinson has suffered from "locked-in syndrome," which means that he is physically paralyzed but mentally awake, according to the Guardian.
He communicates via a computer that tracks his eye movements and converts them into the letters of the alphabet, which then transmits his words and speech, according to BBC News.

Nicklinson, 57, has been lobbying England's high court for the right to legally end his life, the Telegraph reported, and the full hearing is scheduled for later this month.
"I cannot scratch if I itch, I cannot pick my nose if it is blocked and I can only eat if I am fed like a baby – only I won't grow out of it, unlike the baby," Nicklinson, who is married with two grown daughters, said in a personal statement to the court, according to the Telegraph.
His experience is being chronicled by Channel 4's Dispatches, whose program about Nicklinson's life will air on Monday 18 June at 8 p.m., the Guardian reported.
