The Shops at O'Malley Centre is a two-building retail facility located in the O'Malley Center south of O'Malley Road on the Old Seward Highway.

VA Clinic, office to have 190,000 square feet
The new Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic and Regional Office is under construction near the Muldoon entrance to Elmendorf Air Force Base. The two-story building will be 190,000 square feet and will connect to a pedestrian walkway to the 3rd Medical Group hospital, the hospital at Elmendorf.
Horn Doctor Music Store Inc. -- a general music store with an emphasis on wind instrument sales and repair -- is undergoing major expansion. The current facility, which is about 1,900 square feet, will increase to 9,500 square feet.
Anchorage Native Primary Care Center Phase III -- an expansion of Southcentral Foundation -- will be three stories high and encompass 79,280 square feet.
The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses for the Eagle River congregation is a 4,100-square-foot structure that includes a 160-seat auditorium, an overflow room with windows and sound projection, and a library.

Fashion City upgraded with Value Village
A renovated, 4,200-square-foot building that will house a Fashion City apparel store. The building is part of a larger makeover of the Value Village Center.

Engineers union gains expanded home
International Union of Operating Engineers Local 302 will relocate its Anchorage headquarters. The 16,500-square-foot building will house administrative and training offices, said Tony Hansen, who oversees union operations for Southcentral Alaska.

Eagle River gets health care center
Providence Eagle River Health Care, a two-story building that has 10 medical office spaces, is 22,000 square feet. It contains imaging services, an outpatient laboratory patient service center, a primary care clinic and physician offices. One suite remains available for occupancy, said Kirsten Kolb, public affairs specialist for communications and marketing at Providence Health and Services Alaska.
Crowne Plaza makes Midtown move
Crowne Plaza is an upscale brand of the InterContinental Hotels Group, which also operates the Holiday Inn and other brands. This will be the first Crowne Plaza in Anchorage.
New garage to ease downtown parking crunch
The Linny Pacillo Parking Garage site -- on Seventh Avenue between E and F streets -- will add 836 new parking spots to downtown Anchorage for use by Atwood Building employees.
Hospital adapts to state's aging population
Alaska Regional Hospital recently completed construction of an endovascular neuroradiology suite in its radiology department. It is 600 square feet and offers alternatives to brain surgery for treatment of aneurysm and stroke.

Subway on Tudor Road moves across the street
The Subway restaurant located in a strip mall on Tudor Road will relocate across the street to the site of the former Courtney's Tudor Service gas station.
The Alaska Experience Theatre, originally built in 1981 on the corner of Sixth Avenue and G Street, operated there until March 2007 when the property was sold, and the site is now a parking lot, said Thomas Howard, general manager of the theatre.
