The Daily News makes every effort to honor families' requests, but we occasionally run short of space. When that happens, we prioritize by date of service. Death notices with services coming up in the next 1-3 days take priority over all others. Death notices that are cut from the next day's paper are automatically re-scheduled for the day after.

Death notice submissions Tuesday-Saturday editions must be received by 2 p.m. the previous day. Submissions for Sunday and Monday editions must be received by 5 p.m. Friday.
