Stephanie Komarnitsky

Born in Colorado, Stephanie Komarnitsky moved to Alaska in 1993 after a summer visit. She planned to stay for three years, but instead has been here for 14 years.

She worked for the Daily News in Anchorage covering crime before moving to the Valley in 1995 to work in the Mat-Su Bureau where she has covered topics ranging from government and politics to the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, and the Alaska State Fair's giant cabbage contest.
