    A story on Page B-1 Friday about plans to open a Nordstrom Rack store in Anchorage incorrectly reported the company's plans for expansion. Nordstrom Rack plans to have 230 stores open nationwide by the end of 2016, not 2015, a company spokeswoman said.

    Photo captions on page B-1 Sunday gave the incorrect name of the dog weight pull competition Saturday at the Northway Mall. The event was the Saint Bernard Club of Alaska World Championship Dog Weight Pull, not the Fur Rondy dog weight pull.

    A story on Saturday's front page about a lawsuit by the Ketchikan Borough against the state over education funding incorrectly reported that rural districts in Alaska are entirely funded by the state. Some rural districts are partially funded with local taxes.

    A story on Thursday's front page about an Alaska Board of Fisheries decision to encourage shallower commercial fishing nets in Cook Inlet incorrectly referred to the size of the nets in inches. The nets are 29-mesh or 45-mesh, with the larger mesh extending deeper into the water.

    An article about a new road in the UMed District in Sunday's paper misstated the organizers of a meeting last week about a local dog park. The meeting was organized by the local community council, not by the city.

It should have said Medicaid. The story also listed states that had a well-functioning Marketplace website for their residents...

    A story on Page A-4 Wednesday incorrectly reported the professional status of George Trube Murphy, a Girdwood man arrested for driving under the influence on the Seward Highway after nearly hitting a pedestrian. Murphy is a retired dentist.

    A front-page story Thursday incorrectly reported that no arrests have been made in two fatal hit-and-run accidents involving pedestrians in 2011. Police have made an arrest in the April 2011 death of Hubert Tunuchuk.
