Thieves saw election as a chance to steal

WASILLA -- Two teenagers are suspected of thefts at a Wasilla elementary school on Election Day.

Alaska State Troopers say electronic items valued at $800 were taken from Pioneer Peak Elementary School. The theft was reported Wednesday.

Troopers say two boys about 16 years old were spotted early Tuesday night leaving the classroom hallway. They were wearing backpacks.

The school gym was open for voting.
