Alaska Ear

Alaska Ear

What lesson can we take from this Journal of Commerce magazine cover anointing of the most powerful people in Alaska in 1996? Ted Stevens, Bill Allen, Frank Murkowski, Tony Knowles and Rick Mystrom. All the elected officials were eventually rejected by the voters. Two of the five were indicted for corruption and one is headed to federal prison. It's a safe bet none of them would make the list today. So Ear guesses the lesson would be something about hubris.
