Three more of the Service High School vandals pleaded guilty to reduced charges of criminal mischief in exchange for probation and community service at a hearing Friday.
Joseph Murdock, Abelardo Rios and Thomas Targe are the latest to have their charges reduced from felonies to misdemeanors following a senior prank at the school in which they glued exterior locks and poured cement in the driveways. Judge Brian Clark accepted the plea agreements and sentenced them to one year of probation and 50 hours of community service.
Eleven adults were charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. Now, all but Tyler Burton and Sean Fowler have pleaded guilty to a reduced count of fourth-degree criminal mischief in exchange for similar sentences.
Burton and Fowler were due to appear in court Friday but did not show up, apparently the result of scheduling mix-ups. Their hearings were reset for other dates this month.
