Train ride: Arctic circle adventure
Take an Alaska adventure from Anchorage to Fairbanks this winter.
According to the Alaska Railroad website, this is what the schedule will looks like:
"Friday: Spend the first night in Anchorage at the Comfort Inn Ship Creek and make time to visit the Anchorage Museum of History and Art, the Alaska Aviation Museum, or check out a hockey game at the Sullivan Arena or a concert at the Performing Arts Center.
Saturday: Board the Aurora Winter Train for Fairbanks. Overnight in Fairbanks at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge.
Sunday - Monday: Depart on the Arctic Circle Aurora Adventure with Northern Alaska Tour Company at 6:30 am via ground tour or 10:00 am via air. (Guests must check with NATC the day before as to what the departure time will be.) You arrive at Coldfoot Camp and spend two nights in the Brooks Mountain Range. Each room has 2 twin beds. No roll-a-way beds or cribs available.
Tuesday: You’ll return to Fairbanks with Northern Alaska Tour Company and arrive into Fairbanks at approximately 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm via air or 9:00 pm – 10:00 pm via ground. Overnight in Fairbanks at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge.
Wednesday: Take time to explore Fairbanks and visit the Museum of the North at University of Alaska Fairbanks before flying back to Anchorage."
