Private prison advocate Bill Weimar Sentenced in November 2008 to six months in prison plus six months in home detention and a $75,000 fine for making illegal payments to an unnamed candidate for the Legislature, and a consultant, in return for candidate's support for private prison. Charged on two felonies and pleaded guilty in August.

Former Rep. Tom Anderson Serving five years in prison after conviction in July 2007 for bribery, extortion, conspiracy and money laundering. He's in the medium-security federal prison in Sheridan, Ore.

Former lobbyist Bill Bobrick Five months in prison plus five months' house arrest after pleading guilty to conspiracy in a scheme to bribe Anderson. Cooperated with authorities and finished his prison sentence in June at a privately run, minimum-security prison in Taft, Calif.

Former Rep. Vic Kohring Convicted in November 2007 of bribery, conspiracy and attempted extortion. Sentenced to 3 1/2 years. He's in the privately run facility in Taft, Calif. Appealing his conviction.

Former Rep. Pete Kott Convicted in September 2007 of bribery, conspiracy and extortion. Sentenced to six years, and is serving in Sheridan, Ore. Appealing his conviction.

Former State Sen. John Cowdery Charged in July 2008 with conspiracy and bribery. Bribery charge dropped in exchange for his guilty plea to conspiracy. Sentenced March 10, 2009, to trhree years probation with the first six months as home confinement plus a $25,000 fine.

Awaiting sentencing

U.S. Sen. Ted Stevens Found guilty Oct. 27, 2008, of seven felonies for lying on his Senate disclosure forms by not reporting gifts and services from Veco Corp., Bill Allen and others. Seeking a new trial over his assertions the government behaved improperly. No sentencing.

Former Veco chief executive Bill Allen Pleaded guilty in May 2007 to bribery and conspiracy for his dealings with five state legislators. Is cooperating with authorities; no sentencing date scheduled.

Former Veco vice president Rick Smith Pleaded guilty in May 2007 to bribery and conspiracy for his dealings with five state legislators. Is cooperating with authorities; no sentencing date scheduled.

Jim Clark, chief of staff to former Gov. Frank Murkowski Pleaded guilty in March 2008 to accepting illegal campaign help from Veco for Murkowski's failed 2006 re-election bid. Is cooperating with authorities. Sentencing set for Feb. 19.

Awaiting trial

Former state Rep. Bruce Weyhrauch Indicted with Kott in May 2007. Charged with bribery, attempted extortion, conspiracy and honest services mail fraud. The cases were separated before trial while the government appealed a ruling that excludes some evidence against Weyhrauch. Awaiting a decision from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
