Troopers took a call at 9:14 a.m. Thursday reporting that 25-year-old Sarah Thorn had died while hiking on the Devil's Creek Trail.

Chugach National Forest spokeswoman Mona Spargo says Thorn reported suffering from a migraine headache before she died. She was about eight miles from the trail head and two miles from the Devil's Pass cabin when she was stricken.

Thorn's companion called authorities from the trail head at Mile 39 Seward Highway.

Troopers sent a helicopter to investigate and recover the body.
