HOMER -- Former Alaskan turned international pop star Jewel Kilcher will perform at the Homer High School Mariner Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 19.
The concert, a benefit for the Artists in the Schools program, will include Tom Easton and Atz Lee Kilcher. Tickets will be available starting Thursday at the Bunnell Street Arts Center in Homer.
The cost is $30, or $25 for Bunnell members. For more information, call 907-235-2662.
Jewel, who performs using only her first name, will also present shows in Anchorage at the Atwood Concert Hall on Aug. 20 and 21. Those tickets are priced at $50.50 and available at centertix.net or by calling 263-2787.
The singer’s parents were both raised in Homer, where she also lived for a while prior to becoming famous as a best-selling vocalist.
