PRAYER OFFERING: Filipino Alaskans will hold prayer offerings and a benefit concert for the victims in the Philippines from 4-8 p.m. today at the Asian Alaskan Cultural Center, 4807 Northwood Drive. Admission is by donation. Pastor Vic Abalos, Fr. Ben Torreto and Pastor Thomas Davis will lead the prayer offerings. Local Filipino artists and celebrities will entertain with instrumental renditions, folk dances and other musical talents. You can also bring boxes of relief goods ready for shipment to Atlas Shippers on Fridays between noon- 3 p.m. Cash and check donations can be taken to any Wells Fargo Bank, payable to Filipino Alaskans Emergency Fund account #2935688842. The new service will feature singing, storytelling, dance and congregational sharing and movement. The first service will celebrate Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead.
