Tangier Johnson and Dean Walker

Tangier Johnson and Dean Walker of Anchorage will marry July 25 at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center.

They have a 1-year-old daughter named Jioni Gia Walker who they say is the joy of their lives.

Tangier is the daughter of Juita and Randy Johnson of Anchorage. She graduated from Dimond High School in 2000. She attended New York Film Academy in 2003, receiving an acting diploma. In 2006 Tangier earned a bachelor's degree in journalism for telecommunications and film from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She runs her own company, UBU Publications. Tangier enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, the outdoors, traveling and being a mom.

Dean is the son of Dorothy Walker of Anchorage and Ronald Walker of Stockton, Calif. He graduated from Dimond High School in 2000. Dean attended UAA and the Community College of Southern Nevada. He plans to attend Northern Industrial Training in Palmer in 2009 to obtain heavy equipment operating licenses and a commercial driver's license. Dean enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching and playing sports, going to movies, barbecues and playing with his daughter.

Sheila Hopper and Scott Moffett

Sheila Marie Hopper of Anchorage and Daniel Scott Moffett of Richmond, Va., will marry in February in Richmond. The two are planning a Nuptial Mass to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony at St. Benedict Catholic Church, where they met.

Sheila is the daughter of James and Deborah Hopper of Anchorage. She graduated from Dimond High School in 2002. Sheila received her bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Portland and is currently serving as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army at Fort Lee, Va.

Scott is the son of Wayne and Sandy Moffett of Richmond. He graduated from Benedictine High School in Richmond in 1999. Scott received his bachelor's degree in public administration from James Madison University and is currently working as an architect with Moffett and Co.

Kristen and Corey Miles

Kristen Nicole Farley, formerly of Palmer, and Corey Michael Miles of Pacific, Mo., met in St. Louis, where Kristen was attending college. They returned to Alaska to share this most glorious time of their lives. On Aug. 2, they were joined as husband and wife at Hatcher Pass overlooking the magnificent Summit Lake near Palmer.

Kristen's father, David, performed the ceremony, with her sister, Rebecca, as maid of honor. Kristen's youngest sisters, Rachel and Danielle, made lovely bridesmaids. Kristen's grandfather, Roger Marcum of Wasilla, stood in as father of the bride and gave her away at the altar. Also in attendance were Kristen's grandmother, Geraldine Marcum; uncle, Roger; aunt, Teresa Marcum; and cousin, Scott Marcum, all of Wasilla.

They spent their honeymoon vacationing in Alaska.

Kristen attended Colony Middle and High schools in Palmer and graduated from Fox High School in 2006. She is the daughter of David and Laura Farley of Palmer. Kristen enjoys snowboarding, bowling, softball and spending time with her three younger sisters.

Corey graduated from high school in Pacific and is in management training in the auto assembly industry. He is the son of Michael and Tammy Miles of Pacific.

Lindsay and Chad Campbell

Anchorage residents Lindsay Erin Vautour and Chad Dean Campbell were married Nov. 15 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. The Rev. Scott Fuller officiated. Angela Vautour, the bride's sister, was maid of honor. Desiree Frick, a good friend of the couple, was bridesmaid. Mackenzie McLeod was junior bridesmaid and Sirianna McLeod was flower girl; both are cousins of the bride.

The couple is being reassigned by the Army and will move to Boston in December.

The honeymoon will consist of a cross-country road trip and a future trip to Ireland.

Lindsay is the daughter of Robert and Ann Vautour of Anchorage and Kathy and Larry Randolph of Carson City, Nev. Lindsay, who was born and raised in Anchorage, graduated from East High School in 2000 and from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2004 with an associate's degree in medical assisting.

A certified medical assistant, she works for Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer. Lindsay enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling and getting friends together for wine tastings. She has a cat named Rocky.

Chad is the son of William and Kathy Campbell of Evans, W.Va. He graduated from Point Pleasant High School in West Virginia in 1995 and from Central Texas College in 2006 with an associate's degree in information technology. Chad is currently assigned to 725 Brigade Support Battalion at Fort Richardson as the S3 Air NCO.

He has served in the Army for 13 years and has completed four deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, traveling, archery and collecting firearms.


How to submit an announcement

The Daily News publishes engagement, wedding and anniversary announcements every Monday at adn.com and in the Life & Style section. We accept all anniversaries, for couples married just one year or 60. We accept submissions from former residents who did not grow up in Alaska. We have extended the deadline to submit weddings and anniversaries from three months to six.

Engagements start at $55 for up to 200 words. Wedding announcements start at $5 for up to 70 words. Anniversary announcements start at $10 for up to 70 words. Couples celebrating their 40th anniversary or beyond can place a free announcement of up to 200 words; 201 to 350 words is $75. More words will cost extra.

No engagement, wedding or anniversary announcement may exceed 700 words. Our electronic forms count words as they are typed. Our online forms allow for photo uploads and secure payment. See our forms at adn.com/help. Our online forms help us process submissions as quickly and accurately as possible. A $15 service fee will be added for announcements that are e-mailed, dropped off at or mailed to the Daily News.

Please submit wedding and anniversary announcements no later than six months after the event. Engagement announcements should be submitted at least one month before the wedding day.
