Holiday cocktail party: Make easy holiday hors d'oeuvres such as orange-chipotle beef skewers, bacon-wrapped grilled shrimp, wonton cups with sesame-seared tuna and puff pastry twists with chocolate peanut butter, lemon curd and pumpkin butter dips. 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Dec. 3; $99.

Italian Cooking
Learn to make crostini, baked spinach in gnocchi dough, baked chicken breast topped with prosciutto and fontina and sautéed zucchini with garlic and parsley at 10 a.m. at Anchorage Lutheran Church, 1420 N St. The cost is $60. The Alaska Dinner Factory is offering pre-assembled appetizers from now until the end of the year. Pick up a package of pesto meatballs, sweet potato pinwheels, cheesy spinach and artichoke dip or brown sugar pecan baked brie for $15.
