The Daily News asked local agencies to submit "wish lists" for this holiday season. Here are agencies and items they could use:

Catholic Social Services

What they need: Disposable diapers of all sizes and gift cards to Costco, Sam's, Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer and Target to purchase supplies for the clients in the above-mentioned programs. Items may be dropped off at 3710 E. 20th Ave., Anchorage, 99508.

Cyrano's Theatre Company

What they need: Sewing supplies, clothes steamer, vintage clothing, pre-1930s furniture, e.g. "fainting couch," volunteers with carpentry and painting skills, black or white paint (new), gift certificates to hardware supply stores, office supplies including electric pencil sharpener and pencils. The Gateway School & Learning Center

What they need: Desktop inkjet printer; tuition assistance for five students ($100 to $2,000 or anything in between is greatly appreciated). Contact: Melody Paynter, 2511 Sentry Drive, Anchorage, 99507; 522-2240.

The Salvation Army Cares for Kids Program

What they need: Clothing, especially winter gear, bath washcloths, baby bath towels, digital camera and printer, monetary donations, masking tape, people puppets, water bottles, puppet theater, suitcases (small with wheels), backpacks, silly putty, modeling clay, three-ring binders, glue, dry-erase markers, exercise mats, beads, Chapstick, hand lotion, shampoo, pajamas, new underwear, bras for 10- and 11-year-old-girls, movie tickets, zoo tickets etc., DVD/VCR player, toy organizers, glue sticks, helmets, finger paints, large tarp, sharpies, blue pens, fragrance free soap/wipes, cereal and storage containers, puzzles, Pull-Ups diapers (birth-size 6), toothpaste, night lights, batteries, coloring books, dictionary, math tables, garbage bags, dental floss. The Pajama Program

What they need: New pajamas for boys and girls, size 0-18 years (most needed are PJs for kids 12 and older), new books for all ages, monetary donations to purchase pajamas and/or host fundraising events (tax-deductible). The Salvation Army Booth Memorial Youth and Family Services

What they need: Socks (size 9-11), Walkman and batteries for Walkman, Herbal Essence "Breaks Over" shampoo and conditioner, journals, lip gloss/stick, pajama pants, body wash and lotion, stuffed animals for bed, comforters for twin bed, earrings and bracelets, bedroom slippers, Simon (mall) gift card, phone cards, stamps and gift cards/certificates to Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer, Century 16, McDonald's, Cold Stone Creamery and the Alaska Zoo.
