Food for life
Learn how a healthy diet can help prevent cancer and prevent and reverse heart disease and diabetes. Nutrition and cooking classes sponsored by The Cancer Project are offered from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays starting June 8 at Providence Cancer Center, 3851 Piper St., Building U2, Room 281 and Tuesdays starting June 9 at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center, 2500 S. Recipe contest
Fish Alaska magazine has a recipe contest that is going on through May. Finalists will receive a package worth over $1,300 and a chance to win the grand prize worth over $11,000 at a cook-off in September at the Kincaid Grill. Alaska seafood recipes are encouraged.
