SEATTLE -- With holiday travel getting into full swing this week, Alaska Airlines says there are ways to ease the seasonal stress normally associated with flying.
The airline is Alaska's major commercial carrier that serves Anchorage, the state's hub, as well as the less populated regions.
Tips include:
Check in online. Passengers can check in online 24 hours before their flight.
Understand carry-on limits and increased fees for bags being checked.
Prepare for long lines at security checkpoints.
Leave gifts unwrapped; any packages are subject to inspection.
Plan for extra time in getting to the airport. Parking could be limited; using shuttles is encouraged.
