• The law firm of Guess & Rudd has announced that Christina A. Rankin of its Anchorage office has become a shareholder of the firm. Her area of practice includes: litigation of insurance bad faith and coverage issues, personal injury defense, wrongful death, products liability, automobile negligence, uninsured and underinsured motorists, premises liability, and commercial litigation.
• Rachel Ramsey was recently promoted to vice president of marketing and communications at Credit Union 1. Originally hired as a marketing associate in 2005, Ramsey has also worked as the credit union's marketing manager for two years. In her new role, Ramsey will lead the credit union's marketing, staff development and sales and service departments. She will oversee internal and external communication programs and community projects.
• Custom software development firm Resource Data Inc. has hired John Hettinger to the Anchorage office as a programmer/analyst. Hettinger has more than 25 years of experience as a programmer including reporting systems, building applications, altering applications, debugging, systems administration and general support. He is skilled in PHP and mySQL. He holds a master of science degree in computer science from Michigan State University.
• Wells Fargo has named Jennifer Davis private banker for its Northern Lights and C Street store. Courtney Stevens was named to succeed Davis as private banker for Wells Fargo's Huffman store. They will provide clients with customized banking solutions. Davis has served as a personal banker, investment management associate and private banker. She graduated cum laude from the University of Alaska Anchorage with a bachelor's degree in marketing. For the past three years, Stevens has been a lead teller, customer sales and service representative, personal banker and, most recently, manager for the bank's L Street store. She is pursuing a veterinary degree, with a minor in business finance from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
