• Northern Air Cargo hired Deedre Nicola as a sales account manager. Nicola has worked in a variety of sales and marketing capacities for the past seven years as an Alaska resident with a background in hospitality. She will be responsible for account management in Barrow, Kotzebue and Nome, as well as a variety of industries in Anchorage. Nicola will be based at NAC's corporate headquarters in Anchorage.

• New Horizons Telecom, Inc. hired George Herr as vice president, engineering. Herr will be responsible for NHTI Engineering planning, design, permitting and CAD services. He will lead the expansion of engineering services and business relations, while maintaining the NHTI Engineering Quality Management System. Herr is a retired U.S. Air Force officer and a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he received his B.S. degree in engineering. He earned his M.S. in engineering management from the University of Alaska Anchorage. Herr is a Registered Environmental Engineer.

• Imaging Associates of Providence hired Julianne Witherspoon as customer relations manager for its Mat-Su area imaging clinic. Witherspoon will work with area physicians and clinic staff to enhance the firm's diagnostic imaging services. Witherspoon is triple-registered as a certified mammography, CT and X-ray technologist and has nearly 20 years of experience in radiology. She also has five years of outpatient clinical management experience.
