Juneau bank officer wins SBA award
Heather Mitchell, assistant vice president and commercial loan officer for Alaska Pacific Bank in Juneau, was selected as the 2008 SBA Alaska Financial Services Champion of the Year. This award recognizes individuals who work to increase the usefulness and availability of accounting or financial services for small businesses. Mitchell is actively involved in SBA lending. She teaches financing workshops for the Juneau Small Business Development Center and is also a member of the Rotary Club of Juneau, the Southeast Alaska Building Industry Association and the University of Alaska Southeast Alumni Association. "I am very pleased that the SBA is able to recognize the efforts of individual officers of our bank who have done a great job of bringing the bank's resources and SBA's programs into play for the benefit of our customers," said Alaska Pacific Bank president and chief executive officer, Craig Dahl.
