Deep Creek Custom Packing reopens in Ninilchik

Deep Creek Custom Packing has reopened in Ninilchik, overlooking the campground, said Jeff Berger, company president. Deep Creek provides custom processing and retail seafood, he said. The company uses cottonwood driftwood for its smoker to produce Native-style cold-smoked salmon strips and canned smoked salmon, he said. Deep Creek also sells fresh and frozen Alaska seafoods, including king crab, halibut, salmon, cod and rockfish, he said. Its shop provides bait, ice, tackle, food and fishing licenses, Berger said.
