• Karen Bitzer has joined Alaska 2-1-1 as project director. Bitzer will lead the daily operations of Alaska 2-1-1, United Way's free, confidential, statewide health and human services information and referral system. Alaska 2-1-1 connects clients to the health and human services help they need. Bitzer has an extensive social services background. Most recently, she served as special assistant to the Alaska Rural Justice and Law Enforcement Commission.

• Nichelle Seely has joined BDS as an architect. She brings 10 years of design, planning and construction administration experience to her new position. Her experience includes residential, institutional and commercial design in Oregon and Alaska. Seely's recent Alaska project work includes the Delta elementary replacement school (K-five) in Delta Junction, the St. Michael replacement school (K-12) in St. Michael, the Bartlett High School remodel in Anchorage, and the Municipal Light and Power and Performing Arts Center roof replacements, both in Anchorage.

• Andra J. Love joins the Anchorage office of ABR Inc. Environmental Research and Services as a senior scientist focusing on fisheries and aquatic ecology. Love brings more than 11 years of experience to the job, and she will help lead ABR's Alaska fisheries and aquatic sciences program. Her previous work ranges from designing and conducting scientific studies in fisheries and water quality to managing environmental services for wetland delineations, NEPA documentation and environmental permitting.
