The 2008 edition of "Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business" has named attorney John Tindall, president of Tindall Bennett & Shoup, P.C., as a leading Alaska business lawyer. Tindall was recognized as a leading lawyer in the practice of real estate law for his work in real estate exchanges, land swaps and other complex transactions. Tindall Bennett & Shoup, P.C., a law firm based in Anchorage, was founded in 1977.
Ernie Piper was named as the Alaska Railroad's vice president of operations, chief operating officer. Piper began his career with the Alaska Railroad in 1998 as the director of Public Affairs. He was later promoted to assistant vice president, health, safety and environment followed by assistant vice president of mechanical and on to assistant vice president, safety and operations. He left the ARRC in late 2007 and has been consulting in the railroad industry, primarily for Amtrak.
Nathan Bolds, associate member AIA, has joined KPB Architects, bringing 10 years of experience in architectural design and construction management. His responsibilities are design development of housing, office and educational facilities. Bolds received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from University of Detroit, Mercy in 2001; and joins the company after six years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, as a design coordinator/project architect on Elmendorf AFB.
