Cook Inlet Tribal Council Inc. has promoted Jorie Zilys to institutional advancement officer. In her new position, Zilys will focus on fundraising and establishing relationships with potential donors. Zilys has been employed by CITC since 2001, most recently as internal communications officer. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational management with an emphasis in nonprofit management and a certificate in nonprofit management from the Foraker Group. She currently chairs the Alaska Native Professional Association (ANPA)

The Alaska Air Carriers Association has announced that Joy Journeay will be the new AACA executive director. Joy brings 30 years of leadership experience to the association. Her background includes aviation marketing and contract management in Alaska and Oregon, as well as non-profit and business supervision. Most recently, Joy served at Bering Straits Native Corporation, supporting its successful expansion into a diversity of federal contracting opportunities.
