The federal Bureau of Land Management has appointed Jim Fincher manager of its Anchorage Field Office and Will Runnoe manager of its Glennallen Field Office. Fincher was district ranger at the Glacier Ranger District (Girdwood), Chugach National Forest, prior to his BLM appointment this month. As Anchorage field manager, he will oversee 19 million acres of BLM-administered lands and mineral estate in Southcentral Alaska. Runnoe was head of the BLM Glennallen Field Office recreation program for the last four years. As Glennallen field manager, he will now manage 6 million acres of public lands and resources in eastern Alaska.

Larry Austin recently joined AT&T as an account executive. He will be responsible for business accounts on a statewide basis. Larry recently worked for MTA as account executive, and before that with KTUU Channel 2. He has 11 years of combined experience in outside sales and communications.
Allen Hanson of Conrad-Houston Insurance in Anchorage recently earned the Certified WorkComp Advisor designation conferred by the Institute of WorkComp Professionals. The Asheville, N.C.-based organization trains insurance professionals to locate costly errors in workers' compensation coverage. The certification training provided by the institute is essential in reviewing workers' compensation insurance reports. About 300 insurance agencies have staff members who have qualified for the Certified WorkComp Advisor designation.
