Krista Phillips is RIM Architects' newest principal. Phillips joined RIM in 2005, becoming an associate in 2006. She received a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Kentucky and a master's in architecture from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Phillips oversees project management, project staffing and serves as RIM's human resources principal.

Gabe Aceves
MBA Consulting Engineers Inc., an Alaska mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm, hired Corey Rogers, an electrical designer. He has more than five years experience designing electrical systems for vertical facilities. Corey graduated from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 2004 with bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering and applied mathematics.
Alaska Public Interest Research Group has announced the hire of Gabe Aceves as the new executive director effective Oct. 1. He will serve as the assistant director until taking over duties from AkPIRG's outgoing executive director, Steve Cleary.
Aceves is a product of Fairbanks and has experience working on education, public safety and political issues. Aceves worked as a legislative aide in the Alaska Legislature, and an account executive at LottsfeldtSmith Advertising.
