The price of North Slope oil sold on West Coast open markets closed Wednesday at $113.34 a barrel, down $0.20 for the day.

U.S. natural gas, at the Lower 48's Henry Hub, was $7.62 per million BTU, down $0.36.
Gold closed at $819.80 per ounce on the New York Mercantile Exchange, down $7.60.
Zinc closed at $0.8486 per pound, up 2.72 cents.
