The Anchorage Small Business Development Center offers "Quickbook Advanced" training, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 21, UAA Eagle River Campus, 10928 Eagle River Road, Suite 228B. Those who've taken Beginning QuickBooks or who are familiar with the program can learn about payroll and inventory, plus how to use this program in business bookkeeping. Cost: $115. State fair looks for board members

The Alaska State Fair is looking for qualified individuals who wish to serve on the board of directors. Candidates who are visible and active in the community are encouraged to apply, as directors become ambassadors for the fair. Directors are expected to prepare for and attend monthly meetings and participate in two or more committees, which meet periodically through the year. Applicants must be residents of the Alaska, at least 19 years old and members of the Alaska State Fair. Applicants are by Dec. 15. PDF applications are available at www.alaskastatefair.org. Bering Straits selects board members

Nome-based Bering Straits Native Corp. recently announced new board appointments and shareholder dividends. At an Oct. 4 meeting, the Native regional corporation's shareholders re-elected Roy Ashenfelter, Homer Hoogendorn, Henry Ivanoff and Eileen Norbert to the board. They also elected Fred Sagoonick to the board. The board approved a dividend of $1 per share, equivalent to $100 for the typical shareholder with 100 shares.

Integrated Realty becomes Reliant

Reliant LLC will be the new name of Integrated Realty Resources Inc. as of Dec. 1, said Per E. Bjorn-Roli, managing director, and Theodore S. Jensen, director. The Anchorage company provides real estate appraisal and consulting as well as economic analysis, market studies and litigation support, they said.
