The Inn at Whittier, a 25-room lodge and restaurant, has reopened for year-round business under new ownership. United Companies Inc., a subsidiary of Sea Lion Native Corp., owns and operates the inn. Sea Lion is the Native village corporation for Hooper Bay on the Bering Sea coast. The rooms include mountain and ocean-view rooms, townhouse suites and junior suites. The restaurant specializes in seafood from Prince William Sound. The inn has meeting space and it can be used for weddings, company retreats and other events, said Myron Naneng, board president.
