• T. John Nelson was appointed branch manager for KeyBank's Palmer location at 1150 South Colony Way. Nelson was previously a regional leader with Primerica Financial Services, His experiences include 20 years as a small business owner and more than five years in banking and finance. He holds a number of licenses and is a member of the Alaska Business Networking Group.
• The law firm of Delaney Wiles Inc. announces the addition of Timothy Bowman as associate attorney. Bowman is a 2005 graduate of Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Neb. He clerked for Anchorage Superior Court Judge William Morse for the last year. Prior to his clerkship, Timothy worked as an associate at Dyer Law Office in Omaha. Timothy is a member of the Alaska, Nebraska and American bar associations.
• Two Alaska business leaders have been elected to new three-year terms as directors of the Alaska Support Industry Alliance; three others were elected to second terms. New directors are Dave Harbour of Northern Gas Pipelines and David Lawer of First National Bank Alaska. Lawer is a past director of the Alliance. Re-elected to the Alliance's 21-member board were Joe Hegna, URS Corp.; Tom Hendrix, Carlile Transportation Systems, and Kelly Patrick, Doyon Universal Services. The Alaska Support Industry Alliance is a trade organization representing nearly 500 companies and 40,000 professionals that provide goods and services to the oil, gas and mining industries.
• Kenai River Sportfishing Association has a new chair and executive committee members and welcomes two new board members. Eldon Mulder was named chair of the board; Ron Rainey is vice chair and Kevin Branson is secretary/treasurer. New members of the board of directors are Mike Felix of AT&T Alaska and Jason Paret of Central Peninsula Hospital. KRSA also extends thanks to retiring board members Ben Ellis and Darwin Peterson for their many years of service. KRSA is a nonprofit, membership-based educational and conservation organization whose primary goal is to preserve and improve salmon habitat while promoting responsible sportfishing on the Kenai River.
