AHERA inspector course planned Monday
The AHERA Building Inspector Refresher Course will be held 8 a.m.-noon Monday at Satori Group Inc., 1310 E. 66th Ave.
The course meets all the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act requirements for recertification. Included in these updates is a review of new and existing building inspection duties under EPA and OSHA regulations. Cost is $150.

Sega named as Alaska Aerospace director
Gov. Sean Parnell has appointed Ronald Sega to the Alaska Aerospace Development Corp. board of directors. Sega, of Fort Collins, Colo., is vice president for energy, environment and applied research at the Colorado State University Research Foundation as well as a systems engineering professor at the university. He is a former under-secretary of the Air Force, a retired major general and a former astronaut, Parnell's office said.
This 11-member board manages the corporation, which owns and operates the Kodiak Launch Complex.
