One photographer's brush with fame may have taken a violent turn.
Justin Bieber is wanted for questioning by Los Angeles County Sheriff's investigators after he allegedly hit a paparazzo who was trying to photograph him, the Los Angeles Times reported. He is currently under investigation for misdemeanor battery.
Sheriff's Lt. Robert Wiard told the Associated Press that a photographer called 911 on Sunday complaining of chest pain. He told investigators that Bieber beat him up as he tried to photograph the pop star and his girlfriend Selena Gomez at a shopping center in Calabasas. Bieber and Gomez left before police came, so investigators want to talk to Bieber "to get his side of the story," according to the AP.
TMZ has a picture posted of Bieber appearing to confront a photographer. For reasons that go unexplained, one of Bieber's shoes is missing as well.
Some witnesses told TMZ that the fight started not because the photographer was trying to take Bieber's picture, but because the photographer had blocked Bieber's car in the parking lot as he was trying to leave. Bieber's publicist would not return calls from the AP or TMZ.
