March Madness got off to a competitive start this afternoon as No. 3 seed Chaminade held off sixth seed Humboldt State 68-60 in the first game of the NCAA Division II Western Regional tournament at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.
The UAA women's basketball team is the higher seed in its first-round matchup in the NCAA Division II West Regional and the Seawolves have been ranked among the nation's top 10 teams throughout the season.
