Police are investigating the death of a man who was found frozen outside his East Anchorage apartment Friday afternoon. Police say there were no signs of foul play in the death of Christopher Clifford, 61, who was discovered at about 5 p.m. in the 8500 block of Kluane Avenue on an exterior stairwell.
The door to Clifford's apartment was slightly ajar, and it appeared he had fallen and lost consciousness, police said.
The state medical examiner is conducting an autopsy.
