Hank Dolecki is charged with robbery, vehicle theft, assault and driving under the influence in connection with the incident Thursday night.

Alaska State Troopers say the cab driver reported that he picked up a man and woman from a bar and drove them to an area near Chena Pump Road.

The driver said the man then punched him in the face, yanked him out of the car and drove off.

A couple of hours later, troopers got another report that a cab was stuck in trees near the site of the robbery.

Dolecki and the woman were still in the vehicle when troopers arrived. Dolecki initially refused to get out of the cab.

Troopers say Dolecki's breath-alcohol content was 0.152, or nearly twice the legal limit for driving.
