Authorities are looking for a man who robbed the Northrim Bank branch at 27th Avenue and Spenard Road at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday. The man escaped the bank heading west on 27th in a dark green older-model SUV, police said.
The suspect was described as a white man roughly 6 feet tall in his late 30s to mid 40s with a tan complexion, scruffy, gray-flecked facial hair and glasses. He was wearing a tan Carhartt jumpsuit, white tennis shoes and a dark knit hat with a bill, according to police spokesman David Parker.
The robbery was the first in Alaska this year, according to the FBI, which is handling the investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call Anchorage Police at 786-8900 or the FBI at 276-4441.
