Nineteen-year-olds Joshua Guernsey and Terrel Durant and 18-year-old Samuel Irwin were arrested at 2 a.m. today and charged with auto theft and burglary.

Police took a report of a break-in at the Safe and Sound store in the 7400 block of the Old Seward Highway. A caller said windows had been smashed and two pickups were at the scene.

Police say the three suspects left in the pickups but one ran out of gas. The three were arrested in the other truck near Dimond Boulevard and the Old Seward.

Both pickups had been stolen from a nearby park-and-sell car lot.

The men are suspected of crashing one pickup into another stereo store, 907 Auto Sports, minutes before the Safe and Sound burglary.
