Allen H. Choy, 43, bought expensive Home Depot items secondhand after another suspect used a stolen credit card to purchase them, according to prosecutors and court records.

Choy was indicted on one count of scheme to defraud and one count of second-degree theft, according to the Anchorage district attorney.

Choy posted the items, worth more than $12,000, on Craigslist, advertising them at half their retail value, prosecutors said.

Detectives posing as buyers were able to trace the Craigslist posts to Choy, they said.

If he is found guilty at trial, Choy faces up to three years in prison.

Choy is the part-owner of Al's Alaskan Inn on Old Seward Highway.
